Meet Marcina Clark, Director of Music for Children and Youth

Marcina Clark, an Indiana native, grew up “on the bench.” As a child, music leaders at her church noticed her interest in music and encouraged her to join them. She was taken under the wing of a couple of choir members who began to teach her piano and invited her to sit beside them in choir to learn to sing the parts. (Thank you, Henrietta and June!)
When she wasn’t singing with the adult choir, she sat with the organist to turn pages and “watch and learn.” (Thank you, Rosemary!) By age 12, she was playing preludes and Offertory music.
Marcina is a graduate of Belmont University. She has taught music privately and in parochial schools for a number of years. A seasoned church music director, Marcina has also accompanied choirs at Blair and W.O. Smith Nashville Community Music School and for Choristers Guild Choir Festivals in Nashville.
