Special Thanks from Steve Mason
It has been a pleasure to worship, live and grow with you all these past three years. You have provided me with a wonderful church home that has been supportive and life-affirming for me during my Divinity School years. But now I have been called to serve Country Club Christian Church in Kansas City as their Pastoral Resident for the next two years. There, I will be starting a college-aged ministry, work with single older adults and provide general congregational ministry services. So…I have my work cut out for me! But, with a faith in the God who makes a way out of no way and knowledge that I have a network of support that includes Vine Street, I feel confident in pursuing this opportunity.
Know that I will miss Vine Street and look fondly upon my time there as participant and Vanderbilt intern. Thanks especially to the ministry team of Thomas and Hope, along with Julia, TJ and the choir who put up with me and nurtured me in such a way that I can never express my level of gratefulness.
May God bless your wonderful community of faith as we all continue with our ministries no matter where on God’s creation we reside.

Hey Steve! I happened upon your post because I am bringing a small group to your area and we will be staying at Vine Street -- and we're from KC! (Actually we're from Mission, KS, but we're just a hop, skip and jump down the road from you!) Anyway -- welcome to the "hood". Hope to meet you at a Regional event.
