CROP Hunger Walk: Sunday, March 28 @ 2 pm
Greetings, Vine Street!
This year, we are assembling a huge team effort to raise at least $2000 for the CROP Hunger Walk on Sunday, March 28th in Centennial Park. The Vine Street community is in the middle of a Hunger 360 study which has given us opportunities to listen, question, see and act on hunger issues both locally and globally. We have made this happen through a book study, an art exhibit, opportunities with Mobile Loaves and Fishes, a tour of Second Harvest Food Bank, a documentary viewing and discussion, a coffee house fundraiser, mapping our pantries and special speakers from Vanderbilt and Church World Service. It's not over yet...now we walk! Our goals include:
-
Raise $2000+
-
All walkers under 18 bring a friend to walk with them
-
Make Joe Keith the top fundraiser of the 2010 Nashville CROP Hunger Walk
For the first time since the CROP Hunger Walk has come to Nashville, our friend Joe has the physical ability to walk with us. This year, he walks as a living testament to our faith. Now, we walk together to eradicate hunger in Nashville and beyond.
If you are able to walk with us, please click "join a team" on the Nashville Crop Walk website and become one of the Vine Street walkers.
