Dodging to Make a Difference on Feb. 19th

Disciple Dodgeball Invitational for Week of Compassion

We're throwing (soft) balls at each other in an attempt to make a difference in the world. Sunday, Feb. 19th, is the beginning of our annual offering for Week of Compassion. The teenagers will make an offering...it will just look and feel a bit different. Instead of putting a monetary donation into the offering plate on Sunday morning, teenagers from all over Tennessee will pay a $10 registration fee to play dodgeball in the Vine Street fellowship hall.  It makes no sense to the average adult; however, these teenagers have figured out how to play, pray and partner with people in need all around the globe.

We're expecting teams from as far as Memphis and as close as MLK Magnet school here in Nashville. Wait a minute, that's not a Disciple school...is it? Now you're catching on. For every teen that plays, we have more money to give. One more thing:  all spectators pay $5 to watch and cheer. Parents, siblings, friends, neighbors, class mates, teachers and church members make a difference. We look forward to seeing you at 4:30pm on Sunday, Feb 19th!
