Judi Sachs received bad news. The immunotherapy drug she has been taking no longer works, and there are new tumors. She will have additional scans in three months to determine how fast they are growing. At this time there are no additional treatment options. Thank you for your prayers.
Thursday prayers
Joanne Jewett’s surgery was successful, and she’s expected to go home today or tomorrow. She may start physical therapy as early as tomorrow, or on Monday.
Alex Brandau has made a remarkable recovery over the past few days, and he is expected to return home tomorrow.
We remember those who died in yesterday’s school shooting at Antioch High School, and all who are wounded in body and soul. May God’s mercy bring healing and inspire courage.

Joanne Jewett is scheduled for surgery tomorrow, Wednesday, to repair a torn tendon in her knee.
Sherry Blair will begin 6 weeks of radiation treatments on Monday. She’ll find out this week, if and when she might also have to undergo chemo therapy.

Erica Hayden’s grandfather, Stanley is receiving palliative care after metastatic cancer was detected in various parts of his body. He is 88 years old and lives in Pennsylvania. Thank you for your prayers for Stanley and all who love him.
Lester McNatt’s friend, Ruth Burleson is grateful for your prayers, well wishes and cards as she continues to recover from her hip fracture. She’s making plans for some out patient physical therapy to help things along as much as she can.

Ted Park’s father, Ernest H. Parks, Jr., died on Friday in Chattanooga. Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 7, from 1:00 to 3:00pm, with a memorial service at 3:00pm, at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel, 5401 TN-153, Hixson, TN. Times are Eastern. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages gifts to Hearth Hospice in Chattanooga. Ted was with his dad in his final days, and he will stay in Chattanooga until after the funeral. Amanda Dixon and her family are mourning the death of her uncle, John B. Cobb, Jr. who died the day after Christmas at age 99. Mr. Cobb was a highly respected theologian, philosopher, and environmentalist.
Rachel Dixon’s brother, Bobby Register is continuing to recover from a recent fall, and he is expected to move from the hospital to a rehab facility today.

Lester McNatt asks for prayers for his friend, Ruth Burleson. Ruth fell at church on Sunday and broke her hip. She is scheduled for surgery today. Many of you have met Ruth; she has sung with the choir many times when she has been in town visiting Lester.

Eva Pratt Evans passed on in the early hours of December 14, 2024. Thank you for your prayers for her girls, Janet, Nancy, and Lisa, and for all who love and miss her. Plans for a memorial service with a luncheon are being made, and we will share details once they have been confirmed.

Plans are being made for Eva Evans to move to a hospice facility today or tomorrow. Earlier today, after all kinds of tubes, monitors and IV bags had been removed, she sat up and ate a couple of spoons of ice cream. She was delighted! Pat Cole was discharged from the hospital on Thursday afternoon!
Joyce Crowell is making steady progress in rehab after her knee surgery and she expects to go home tomorrow. She will continue to do outpatient PT from home.
