Helen Lovell passed away late Monday night at her home in Kodak, TN. Her husband John was with her. A celebration of her life will be planned later. We have appreciated Vine Street's support, good thoughts and prayers during Helen's long illness. Chris, Carla, Caitlyn and Carson
Margaret Hall
Margaret Hall's sister, Kassie Dickerson, died on Monday, May 24 in Richmond VA.
Moseley family
Stephen Moseley's grandmother, Rena Ranch (his mom's mom), passed away on May 24 in Denver, CO. She was in hospice care, managing pain and infection for the last couple weeks. She was 90 years old. Stephen and Malinda will be in Colorado for the funeral this week.
Fleet Allen
Fleet died early Friday morning. He had spent his final days at Alive Hospice at St. Thomas. Funeral plans are being made. Visitation will very likely be on Sunday afternoon/evening, with the funeral services following on Monday at Vine Street and burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Ruth Skinner is moving to Belmont Village Senior Living for a week or two of respite care.
Fleet Allen's health is rapidly declining and tests reveal cancer has spread to his liver and adrenal glands.

Kay Artibee's father, Paul Jackson passed away April 16th.
Lyn Dorris is mourning the death of her grandmother, Mama 'one. Ione Smith passed away on Thursday, April 22; the funeral is on Monday, April 26.

Mary Ann Johnson
Mary Ann will have joint replacement surgery on her right shoulder on Wednesday, April 21 at St. Thomas. Paul and Mary Ann will be living temporarily at Park Manor while Mary Ann recovers from surgery.

Kay Artibee
Kay's father, Paul Jackson is a resident at Alive Hospice; he is near death. Kay asks that we remember him in our prayers.
Fred Fisher
Fred Fisher, a former member of Vine Street Christian Church, died on April 11 in Richmond VA; he was 74 years old. Graveside services will be held at 3pm on Friday, April 16 in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Nashville.
Barbara Murphy
Barbara's mother, Tele Murphy, suffered a heart attack on April 11 and died the next day. She had just moved to Nashville from Florida, and was looking forward to Barbara's wedding on May 15.

Lyn Dorris
Lyn asks for prayers for her grandmother, Mama Ione. She has had pneumonia two times in three months and her heart is working overtime on several fronts.
Leigh Ann Zirkle
Leigh Ann's cousin, Hal Wilson, is receiving hospice care; he is expected to live only a few more days.
Gena Gilliam
Gena was struck by a car when crossing the street. Fortunately she is only bruised, and didn't suffer any major injuries.
Dan Moseley
Dan Moseley has been hospitalized in Sao Paulo, Brazil with an infection. Dan is travelling with a group from Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis. If he responds well to treatment he may be able to return to Indianapolis on Saturday.
Easter Updates
A big Thank You to all!
Alex “Rico” Carls, Carson Lovell, Reagan Freeman, Julia Matthews, and Miles Kleinert were baptized on Easter morning.
Suzi Cummins has liver cancer; she is the wife of Disciples historian, Duane Cummins, who worshiped with us frequently when he was interim president of the Disciples Historical Society. Suzi and Duane will move to Atlanta on April 18 to be with family for the final months of Suzi's life.
Joe Keith's brother, Jere (Jerry) Keith, has prostate cancer. The prognosis is good, but he is quite worried.

Christa Brown is mourning the death of her grandfather; he passed away on March 28.
Erin Sullivant asks that we continue to keep her Mom, Marilyn Sullivant in our prayers. She has been in and out of the hospital again lately, and is currently in the ICU at Vanderbilt.

Fleet Allen
After weeks of persistent cough, Fleet had a CT scan that showed a growth on his vocal cords as well as a large growth on his lung. It is very likely that the growth is cancerous. Please keep him in your prayers as he meets with his doctors to explore treatment options.
Suzi Cummins
Suzi has liver cancer; she is the wife of Disciples historian, Duane Cummins, who worshiped with us frequently when he was interim president of the Disciples Historical Society. We pray that radiation treatments will shrink the tumors so Suzi can become a candidate for a liver transplant.

Virginia Bell
On April 16, Virginia will be honored as a Distinguished Alumna at a dinner at the University of Kentucky. Virginia graduated with a Master of Science in Social Work in '82, and has made significant contributions to the field of Alzheimer care. Congratulations!
