Monday update
Jim Foglesong went home on Saturday. Tests ruled out several serious causes for his fall, and we are grateful that he is back on his feet and regaining his strength.
Janis Wootten's mother, Monica Moulton is now at West Meade Place for rehabilitation and continues to work toward her goal of returning home to Park Manor.
Our friends in New Zealand, Lyndsay, Lorraine, and Phillippa Jacobs, are well after the recent earthquake. No one was injured, and the damage to their home was minimal. They will send a more complete report once power has been restored. The epicenter of the quake was only 7 miles from Lyndsay and Lorraine's home.

Jim was admitted to Baptist Hospital due to a fall. He hopes to go home today.
Celet Nkobe
One of Celet's brothers died of an infection last week in Kisangani, Democratic Republic of Congo. He was 47 years old. Thank you for keeping Celet and his family in your prayers.
Andrew Reed
Congratulations to Andrew Reed who finished Air Assault School and is graduating today, August 25, at Fort Campbell.
Newlyweds
Congratulations to Amanda Parsons and Jeffrey Nelson who came back to Nashville on Sunday, "happier and marrieder than ever"!
Monday Update
Janis Wootten's mother, Monica Moulton, fell and broke her pelvis on Saturday.
Margie Barbee, Ally Faenza's 87-year-old grandmother, was hospitalized with pneumonia. She is now receiving physical therapy at a nursing home.
Mark Edwards is recuperating from heart surgery, and he is doing well.
Dick Schellhardt is recuperating from knee replacement surgery, and he is doing better every day.
Roger Young is recuperating from a heart attack, and he is doing well.
Pakistan
We continue to pray for the people of Pakistan; 14 million have been affected by the floods. For Muslims, this is Ramadan, a normally festive period of the Islamic calendar. You may support the relief work of Week of Compassion by making a gift.
Jim Zamata's dad
Charles Zamata died this morning from cancer. He had been at home and under hospice care, and all who love him are grateful that his suffering is over. We ask for your prayers for his wife, Laura and for Jim as well as for Jim's brother Glenn. Funeral arrangements are being made, and Jim may travel to Jackson sometime this week.

Morton Boggs, the brother-in-law of Jane Goidel, is having surgery this coming week. The family asks for our prayers.

Prayers for Today
We happily report that Mark Edwards has returned home and seems to be doing well.
Roger Young had a heart attack yesterday and is in St. Thomas Hospital. He had two stents put in and is doing ok.
Update on Mark and Linda Edwards
We are thankful that Mark had a successful quadruple bypass and aortic valve replacement surgery Tuesday, July 27. He is recovering at Baptist Hospital. A big load has been lifted from Linda's heart and shoulders and she is feeling better as well.
Prayers for the Schellhardts
Dick Schellhardt had knee replacement surgery on Mon, July 19. He is now facing a few weeks of rehabilitation.
Linda and Mark Edwards
Please remember Linda and Mark Edwards, as he will face heart surgery within the next few days. In addition to Mark's care, Linda carries the responsibility of caring for aging parents while maintaining her career as a school teacher.
Risley Needs Your Prayers
Risley Lawrence is having trouble with a continuing infection in his prosthetic hip and is taking a very, strong, new medication. Being as strong physically and spiritually as he is, he only needs your prayers that the medication will work. He and Elizabeth are planning a trip to San Diego from July 18 through 25, but look forward to seeing all of you again on August 1.

Allison and Eric Hutton are happy to announce the birth of their baby girl, Sarah Emily, born July 14th. Congratulations!
Prayers for a Special Friend
Lise and Blake Matthews ask for prayers for a close friend and co-worker, Pele Godkin, whose husband Israel drowned in Washington state last weekend. The couple has a child due in November.

Bryce's dad, William Dixon lost three fingers and a portion of his thumb in a work accident. He is 84 years old, and has been a carpenter all his life.
