Prayer concerns
Pat Bentrup is scheduled for outpatient surgery on Monday, April 25.
Joe Keith's brother, Lawson Keith, has prostate cancer. He is grateful to have one of the best oncologists as his physician.
Julia Callaway's birthday was on Friday, April 22, and while Good Friday wasn't a great day to get into party mood, she didn't let it stop her from celebrating all of last week. May the new year be one of many blessings, Julia!
Maurine Peake is in ICU at Centennial, and she and son Andy continue to need our prayers.
Bill Brinton is a resident at West Meade Place, receiving physical therapy.
Prayer concerns
Frank Huffman, the uncle of Helen Trabue and Malinda Moseley, will begin a new round of chemo therapy with another cocktail of drugs. The most recent round stopped the growth of his pancreatic cancer, but did not shrink the tumor.
Helen and Malinda’s dad, Orlan Lorton, is able to travel now. He shattered his knee cap, and the healing process is taking much time and patience.
Malinda and Helen ask for our continuing prayers for their family as well as for their dear friend, Juanita. She is on dialysis awaiting her third kidney, and she is having complications with circulation in her legs and feet. She will have to have her right leg amputated below her knee. We all hope with her that she will be able to keep her left leg. Juanita’s faith is unswerving in all of this, and her friends are deeply moved by her perseverance and blessed by her witness.
Bill Brinton will move to a skilled nursing facility for additional physical therapy. He hopes to regain some mobility and independence. Please continue to keep him and Gloria and their children in your prayers.
Maurine Peake is still hospitalized at Centennial; she and her son Andy continue to need our prayers during this very difficult and uncertain time.
Monday Update
Maurine Peake continues to improve, almost miraculously, according to her son, Andy. The exact cause for her illness still hasn't been determined. As of last night, she was still in ICU at Centennial.
Margeret Netterville received a much better report from her doctor this week. The fractures in her ankle are beginning to heal and treatment options have significantly improved.
Maurine Peake
Maurine went to Centennial Thursday night with extreme abdominal pain. She is currently in ICU, but should move to a regular room today. We do not know what the diagnosis is at this time. (Apr. 8)

Family of Helen Trabue & Malinda Moseley
Helen's and Malinda's family has recently been flooded with health problems.
Their father, Orlan Lorton, is recuperating from a shattered knee cap and is using a walker. His father, Orlan Lorton, is scheduled to have back surgery tomorrow, April 6. He is in his 80s.
Their mother, Jean Lorton, is feeling quite overwhelmed, because her mother, Catherine Phillips, has fallen twice in the past week and needs to move to assisted living. She is 93, lives in Memphis and Jean cannot travel to be with her right now. Jean's brother-in-law, Frank Huffman has pancreatic cancer. He just finished chemo and is waiting for the results.
They welcome all prayers.

The Clendening Family
Jim Clendening's daughter, Michele Neely, broke her leg last week while in Chicago on business. She returned to her home in Atlanta and consulted with a specialist to learn her break was worse than she thought. She will undergo surgery Thursday, March 17 at Emory in Atlanta. Pam and Jim will be in Atlanta over the weekend.
Monday update
Please remember Bill and Gloria Brinton. Gloria has shingles and Bill has ongoing problems with his foot; he recently had a couple of toes amputated.
Howard Evans was in worship on Sunday for the first time after his surgery. It was so good to see him with a big, happy smile!
