Church World Service
The power is out where Matt Hackworth lives, but that didn't stop him from making a video about our ecumenical response to Sandy through Church World Service ("To be fair, I have a generator," he commented).
In case you don't know, Church World Service is the ecumenical agency that organizes CROP Walks to fight hunger - among many other programs.
In response to Sandy, CWS is providing material resources, including blankets, hygiene kits, school kits, baby kits and clean-up buckets to local agencies in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
CWS Disaster Response Specialists are working with state, regional and local organizations, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, our member denominations and other agencies to determine where further assistance is needed.
Donate now to support our work through Church World Service.
