Monday Update

Nina Reed asks for prayers for Andrew who will ship out to Alaska on Thursday.

Pat Bentrup asks for prayers for her friends Teresa, Bill, and Nelda.

Erica Well is flying to New York today to be with her dad; he is in hospital.

Ashley, Rick and Risley Dumas are going home today, and we wish them and all a wonderful Christmas morning!

Charlotte Bacon

We remember Charlotte Bacon, 6 and all who love her. She was killed on Friday, December 14 at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

We are mourning the loss of all the children and adults who were killed that day. Our capacity to take in and process such a tragedy is very limited. Most of our media offer us a lot of information within a very narrow time frame, and we know that after only a few days our attention will be drawn to other events, thoughts, and conversations.

We attempt to remember those who have died and all who love them, and to allow that memory to shape our prayers as well as our thinking. Each Sunday, we speak one of the names in worship, and this practice will take until sometime in June. We take time to process this violent loss and to consider possible consequences.
