Carol Doidge is the very happy grandmother of a little boy! Cara and Billy Doidge Kilgore's son doesn't have a name yet, but they are overjoyed to finally see him. He was born on Wednesday, Feb. 5 weighing 9 lbs 11 oz and measuring 21 inches; both he and his mom are tired but healthy. Congratulations!

Charles W. (Bill) Irvin, father to John Shuler and grandfather to Kennedy and Grant Shuler, passed away Sunday night, Feb. 2. Arrangements are being made for services to be held in Virginia this week.

Ava Sellers died on Monday, November 25, the day after her 94th birthday. Roger and Martha Bishop were her only family. Thank you for remembering them in your prayers. The funeral will be on Monday, December 2, at 11 a.m. at Marshall, Donnelly, Combs Funeral Home (Centennial Park). Visitation, also at the funeral home, will be on Sunday afternoon, December 1, 2-4 p.m. and again on Monday morning, at 10 a.m., before the funeral service.
