We offer prayers for Dee Plunkett, who was involved in an auto accident this week. He was the victim of a hit and run and suffered a broken pelvis. Everything went well during surgery and he's recovering now.

Kawaq Yaku
Hello Vine Street!
Ted and I are at Kawaq Yaku cafe which is Quechua (Incan dialect) for "water that brings life". As they have internet access, we are using this opportunity to check in. We are in our way to the boys home in Kusi, and came by bus from Lima and then a taxi, which are prevalent! I am glad we have Ted who helps translate, as we now are in areas which even Spanish is not spoken by everyone, but rather an Incan dialect. Meeting a lot of good people, and the cafe is run by ex-missionaries still sharing the gospel through their cafe. A welcome find, but definitely something not expected in this area! We have great traveling companions and will check in again when we can.
Peace,
Joe

He went home from the ER early this morning, but hasn't been able to rest because he's in so much pain every time he breathes. Children's Choir tonight has been canceled, and plans for Sunday morning (hymn sing) are on hold for now. Thank you for your prayers.

We received word Glen Stewart is home from rehabilitation following his recent knee-replacement surgery. As the healing process continues, please keep Glen and Joyce in your prayers.
A Word of Thanks
We received a note from Jack Wallace: "I want to offer a personal word of thanks to everyone. As most of you know through our Vine Street prayer requests, my mother passed away on April 4. I appreciated the prayers, the cards and the personal expressions of sympathy so many of you sent my way. In this time of sadness, I learned once again the value of being a part of a community of faith."
Kay Herrell
We offer prayers on behalf of the family and friends of Kay Herrell, who died this morning. She is the sister of Dan Moseley and the aunt of Stephen Moseley. Funeral arrangements are pending.
