Pat Bentrup asks that we remember in prayer her sister-in-law Teresa Boyd, who has been suffering with cancer. Teresa is being discharged today from the hospital to home with hospice care. Please pray, too, for Pat's strength and courage--she has been pitching in to help several other folks in need recently, too.

Charlie Biter asks that we pray for Linda and Earl B.; Linda works with Charlie, and she and her husband just learned that he has cancer and is not expected to live.
Pat Bentrup asks for prayers for Bill who is undergoing chemo therapy and Nelda who will be having surgery this week. She also asks that we pray for strength and healing for all whose lives have been impacted by the ebola outbreak in West Africa.
And congratulations to Lucas Cauthen who will have the rank of Eagle Scout bestowed upon him on Sunday. The congregation is invited to celebrate with him, his family and his fellow scouts.

Debra and Bill Cannon are good friends of Rachel and Bryce Dixon and they have joined us in worship several times in recent months. We just learned that Debra's father, Clifford Chambers died last week. Please keep her and all who mourn his death in your prayers.

Baby Jack update
Jack and his parents are going home today! An MRI revealed significant healing of the brain trauma he suffered during birth last week. His parents, Margaret and Richard, want you to know what a comfort it has been to them to have you waiting, praying and hoping with them. Thank you!

Baby Jack
Jack was born on July 25, but continues to be in NICU. He suffered oxygen deprivation during what was seemingly a normal birth. We pray for him and his parents, Margaret and Richard. Margaret is the daughter of Susan Dyer, the Associate Dean of the Disciples Divinity House at Vanderbilt.
Clara Martin
Clara Martin is hospitalized, recuperating from surgery earlier this week. She hopes to be discharged on Saturday.

Donna Sherill, the niece of Shelton Pilkinton, died this week after a brief battle with pancreactic cancer.

Mission: Music City to Motown
The youth group is on its way to leading our congregation on Mission: Music City to Motown. This journey to Detroit finds youth and adults partnering with the nonprofit ministry Rippling Hope. The majority of their work projects will be basic outdoor home improvements for older individuals.
Please keep in your prayers Hope, Eva, Brooke, Lise, Sarah, Julia, Samayah, Miles, Josh, Molly, Crawford and Raz. The group will return to Nashville July 19.
