An update from yesterday’s request from Sara Tarpley: She is happy to report Robert Tallis (Tal) Kovell arrived safely this morning to Todd and Catherine Tarpley Kovell. Catherine did not have the expected complication. We are grateful for the gift of life! Congratulations, Sara & David, on your latest grandchild!

Room in the Inn
We give a hearty thanks to all those in our Vine Street community who were able to support our emergency efforts with Room in the Inn last week through prayer, volunteerism and donations. We pray especially for the guests we hosted: Dana, Edward, Steve, Juan, Carlos, Nathan, Gary, Roderick, Peter, Jermaine, Orlando and Wubalem.

We learned Toni Foglesong has been hospitalized with a touch of pneumonia, her family says. It’s nothing serious, and Toni welcomes our prayers for healing.
John Charles Weed
Blake Matthews writes requesting prayer: “The son of my close friend Dawn Melton has been involved in a serious ATV accident. He suffered a closed head injury and a major cervical spine injury. His name is John Charles Weed. He is out of ICU and at home with his mom.” Lord, hear our prayer.
Ash Wednesday Service Cancelled
We are cancelling tonight’s Ash Wednesday service due to the evening’s anticipated icy conditions and frigid temperatures.
You can have an Ash Wednesday devotional time in your home, however. To link to a copy of the worship bulletin we would have used tonight, click here. For access to all the scriptures for the day, click here.
We remain committed to hosting Room in the Inn tonight and tomorrow night. While we are doing what we can to manage the ice and snow at the church, please be aware the Vine Street parking lot will likely be slippery.
We pray for warmth and comfort for the Vine Street community, Nashville, the State of Tennessee, and all those across the nation experiencing difficult situations.
Steve Reed
Nina Reed asks for continuing prayer for Steve Reed. He has been recovering from surgery these last few weeks and it appears additional time will be needed.

Helen Trabue asks that we keep in prayer Suzie Edwards, who is now receiving hospice care. Suzie is the mother of Helen's friend, Weslee Hill.
Donna & Vaughn Woods
Donna Woods will have surgery next week. Recall she had a very serious fall last year and spent many, many weeks recovering. This surgery will help to correct ongoing challenges related to that accident. She and Vaughn welcome your prayers.
Pat Bentrup
Pat Bentrup begins soon a series of four brain-related surgeries to improve her activities of daily living. She asks that we remember her in prayer, and she will do the same for us. She and her doctors want her to remain as active as possible during this time, so Pat will welcome your calls, notes and visits.
Ruth Johnson
Hollie Johnson asks that we hold in prayer her mother, Ruth, who became ill this weekend.
