We hold in prayer today Orlan Lorton. He is the father of Helen Trabue and Malinda Moseley. Doctors have found a mass in his left lung. Tests will be run this week to discover what’s going on.
Martha and Roger Bishop ask for prayers for their daughter, Katie Bishop Gordon. Katie had emergency surgery Friday in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This surgery comes on the heels of one Christmas week. Today she is doing well. With gratitude for the care she has received, we pray for Katie to recover well.

Several members and friends of Vine Street Christian Church are experiencing Winter Retreat 2015 now through Wednesday! They are enjoying the beauty of Christmount, a Disciples-related camp and conference center in Black Mountain, North Carolina. This all-church event has become a wonderful tradition for our community, and we ask for God's blessing on all who are participating.
Alex Brandau remains in the hospital, but we learned from Linda Edwards he is feeling better. We are grateful for this improvement and continue to hold him in prayer.
Joe Parsons, Melanie Gao's father and the grandfather of Grant and Audrey, died on Thursday, December 17. Melanie and the children along with other members of the family are traveling to Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Thank you for your prayers for the family and all who love and miss Mr. Parsons.
