Please continue to hold in prayer Lyn’s friend Julie who is undergoing surgery for cancer today. This is her third battle.
Sebastian LeBuhn
Sebastian “Bash” LeBuhn has moved to a NICU step-down unit at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital for a few more days of observation. He has continued to thrive and grow (yesterday was his due date, he was seven weeks early at birth), and the move allows Casey and Michael to spend the night with him. We hope with them that he will be able to go home with them by the end of this week.

Ed Cole
Congratulations to Ed Cole, who was honored today with the 2018 Elizabeth Jacobs Distinguished Service Award by the Council on Aging: “Taking to heart COA’s mission to address unmet needs like assisted transportation for seniors who no longer drive, Ed Cole stepped up two years ago to form and chair COA’s Senior Transportation Leadership Coalition. Using his extensive network, Ed gathered public and private organizations to create a new volunteer ride program called Senior Ride Nashville. This affordable service pairs an older adult who needs transportation with a volunteer who provides a ride, a helping hand and friendly conversation. Ed has devoted hundreds of hours to coalition and COA board meetings, community outreach, and to personally giving rides. His enthusiasm and leadership have been vital in helping COA make our community more age-friendly.” Ed received the award at the 2018 Annual Meeting at The Temple, and several friends from Vine Street were happy to witness the special occasion and celebrate with Ed and Pat and a host of friends from across Nashville.
