Children’s Choir to Perform Holiday Show

Join Vine Street Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) on Sunday, Dec. 11 at 4:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall for the Children’s Choir production of The Inn Crowd, by Lee Dengler and Susan Naus Dengler.

The musical takes place during the infamous census of the ages. It has made Bethlehem a busy, crowded spot and there are some guests at a local inn who aren’t very happy. F.W. Woolworth (a rich wool salesman) and Rock Starling (the hip star singer)—among other characters—have made it clear they want no part of the lower class staying at the inn. However, a lesson will be learned that Jesus came for everyone, and that because of him, we’re all definitely “in” God’s kingdom.

Last year's seasonal offering, An Unplugged Christmas, garnered huge applause from its enthusiastic audience.

Vine Street’s Children’s Choir is a dynamic program for children K-6th grade. The group rehearses on Sundays seasonally after the 10 a.m. worship service. The goal is to glorify God, play as a team, learn about music and have fun. The choir is lead by T.J. & Katie McLaughlin and accompanied by Micah Snow. To inquire about the choir or this performance, contact Katie McLaughlin (katie@vinestreet.org).
