Winter retreat?
Are you interested in attending a winter retreat at Christmount? Allison really likes this idea and tradition but needs your help to make this event fun and meaningful! Individuals and families are welcome and invited to this retreat. Please meet Allison after worship on Sunday at the front of the chancel (or send her an email) to discuss the interest and possibility of pulling together a winter retreat at Christmount Dec 28-Jan 2.
Extending the table
Luke 14:12 serves Nashville’s hungry, homeless and working poor. This coming Monday, November 26, you can join other Vine Street folks to help serve lunch from 11:15 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Room in the Inn campus, 705 Drexel Street. This is a wonderful way to participate in Christ’s ministry.Contact Jeff Miller to volunteer.
Poinsettia orders
We are now taking poinsettia orders to decorate the sanctuary for Christmas. The locally-grown plants are $12 each and may be purchased in memory or in honor of friends and loved ones. Forms are available online and on the Sanctuary window sills by the doors. The deadline for orders is 9 a.m., Tuesday, December 11. The names of donors and those honored with the gifts will be listed in the bulletin on Sunday, December 23.
Name tags
We all know that name tags are very helpful, and not only when we meet people for the first time! Let’s help our new minister, Allison Ruari, connect names and faces by wearing name tags, at least for a few weeks. On Sunday, you will find tags and markers on the window sills, and you may also create something a little more permanent to clip on or wear with a lanyard. Thank you!
