There was an electrical fire at the Bethany Hills Lodge on Saturday, February 20. Thankfully nobody was injured, and thanks to the quick response by our camp manager, David Johnson the fire was quickly extinguished. The Johnson family had quite a weekend!

Steve Lowry was badly injured in a car accident on February 17. He broke his left hip, arm, and wrist. He had hip surgery,  and is scheduled for surgery on February 23 to repair the fractures in his arm. Hold him and Jerri close in your prayers today and in the weeks of recovery ahead.

Bronson and Margaret Netterville celebrate the birth of a great-granddaughter. Schuylia Jade Slack was born on February 5 in Honolulu.

Richard "Dick" McLaughlin died on February 18 after a long battle with multiple myeloma. We are grateful that he was at home and surrounded by loved ones when he passed on. We continue to hold Dava and her family, especially TJ, Katie, and Jack in our prayers.

Amy Mears is one of the pastors at Glendale Baptist Church. Her family was in a car accident on Wednesday night, when their vehicle hit a deer. Their youngest daughter, Emmie, was killed. The funeral was on Saturday.

Dorothy Roach has kidney cancer; one kidney was removed on February 15.

Lois Smith is recuperating from knee surgery. She will be unable to drive for several weeks

TJ's father died this morning after a long battle with multiple myeloma. We are grateful that Dick was at home and surrounded by loved ones when he passed on. We continue to hold Dava and her family, especially TJ, Katie, and Jack in our prayers.

Amy Mears is one of the pastors at Glendale Baptist church. We heard that her family was in a car wreck tonight when their vehicle hit a deer. Her youngest daughter, she is in 3rd grade, was killed. Thank you for your prayers for Amy and David and their family.

Steve Lowry

Steve was in a serious car accident earlier today. He is at Vanderbilt hospital with a broken hip, a broken arm, and a broken wrist, all on his left. He is scheduled for surgery in the morning, and the plan is to repair all fractures with just one visit to the OR. Steve is grateful to be alive, and he asks for our prayers now and in the weeks of recovery ahead.

Thank you so much for keeping my mother, Betsy Pinckley, in your prayers.  Your love and support was wonderful and felt by all of us.

Surgery went very well and rehabilitation is going well also.  She is home now and receives outpatient physical therapy.  I know that she will be chasing her grandchildren soon!

Please continue to pray for a speedy and full recovery.

Cindy White's father

Landrum Salley died last weekend of complications after hernia surgery; he was 81 years old.  The memorial service will be on Saturday, February 13, at 2pm at Woodmont Baptist Church in Nashville. He is survived by wife, Nell Salley, and daughters, Susan Salley and Cindy S. White. [obituary]

Brian Berhow

Brian had surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff on Tuesday, February 9. The surgery went well, but was more extensive than expected. Brian is experiencing severe pain, and most of the pain medication he's been taking made him sick. Continue to remember him and his family in your prayers. We hope that his medical team will find a way to manage his pain.

Dorothy Roach is scheduled for surgery on Monday morning, February 15. She has kidney cancer, and one kidney will have to be removed. Dorothy asks that we remember her in our prayers.

Cecelia Murphy was hospitalized Saturday night with a pneumonia.

T.J. McLaughlin

T.J. McLaughlin flew to Illinois last week to be with his dad. Unfortunately, the flu has hit both T.J. and his mother, and they are both quite sick. T.J. was so dehydrated Tuesday night he was admitted at the hospital - two floors above his Dad! He is receiving IV fluids to improve kidney function and may need another overnight stay before he is released. The family is anxiously awaiting Dick's bone marrow test results today. Please continue to hold them in your prayers.

Update on Reeta Parks

Reeta has 10 out of 28 radiation treatments remaining.  She is working now, but has been extremely tired and was very glad to have a few snow days.    She, Wayne and family are thankful for your continued prayers.  Their address is 916 Caldwell Lane, Nashville, Tennessee  37204.

Rob McRight's dad

Rob McRight's dad is waiting for test results after a growth was detected recently in his lungs. The family will meet with the oncologist on Friday. Rob is planning on being in NC with his family this week.

My name is Kaitlynn and I'm 9 years old and I want my future step dad D. back in my life. Please pray he comes back to my family and marry mommy like he promised. Good News from Pat Bentrup

Her granddaughter, Samantha Rose Bentrup, arrived 1/26/10 weighing in @ 8lbs.15oz.  Samuel and Lauren Bentrup and 2yr. old son, Owen welcome her.  Please keep all in prayer.

Betsy Pinckley, Kathy Berhow's mother, had knee replacement surgery today.  Kathy happily reports that it went very well and Mrs. Pinckley will start physical therapy tomorrow.
