Pat is mourning the tragic death of two friends with whom she went to highschool.
Orlan Lorton
Orlan is the grandfather of Helen Trabue and Malinda Moseley. He is scheduled for back surgery on Tuesday, April 5.
Brenda Plunkett
Brenda had scheduled surgery on Thursday, March 31. She will be recuperating at home for approximately three weeks.
Craig and KK Wiseman
Craig and KK's beautiful house by the river burned down completely the night of Sunday, March 27. We are grateful that nobody was injured. This was a very special place to KK and Craig and their friends.
Jack Forstman
We are happy to report that Jack's recovery is going quite well, and he may be able to go home as early as Tuesday, March 22!
Two Very Special Birthdays
Elizabeth Lawrence turned 92 today! Priscilla Hutton turns 94 this Sunday!
Happy birthday lovely ladies!
Janis Wootten
Janis Wootten broke her arm and shoulder. She will likely have to have surgery to repair the shoulder fracture.
Jack Forstman
Jack's surgery today was successful. Everything, in the surgeon's words, "progressed nicely" and Jack will be in recovery overnight, where he will be monitored closely. Thank you for remembering him and Shirley in your prayers.
The Clendening Family
Jim Clendening's daughter, Michele Neely, broke her leg last week while in Chicago on business. She returned to her home in Atlanta and consulted with a specialist to learn her break was worse than she thought. She will undergo surgery Thursday, March 17 at Emory in Atlanta. Pam and Jim will be in Atlanta over the weekend.
Monday update
Please remember Bill and Gloria Brinton. Gloria has shingles and Bill has ongoing problems with his foot; he recently had a couple of toes amputated.
Howard Evans was in worship on Sunday for the first time after his surgery. It was so good to see him with a big, happy smile!
Margaret Netterville
Margaret learned this week that she needs further treatment for the ankle she broke before Thanksgiving of last year. She will see a new doctor in two weeks and will have more detail at that time.
Good News from the Binkleys
Bob Binkley had tests this week for cancer and the results came back clear.
T.J. & Katie McLaughlin
T.J.'s grandfather passed away this week. He, Katie and Jack will be traveling to Illinois this week for the service.
Alex Cauthen
Alex is waiting for test results after having some bone marrow extracted last week. We hope that the tests will help with the diagnosis and treatment of his rare bone marrow disorder.

New Zealand update
Our friend Lorraine sent this:
The city's infrastructure is so damaged, but the underlying individual personal emotional infrastructure is hidden and that's really going to be a much more serious problem longterm. Please care/pray/support those real needs. The Salvation Army and many other church and secular counseling and practical helpers need funding support and personal support.
As always, Week of Compassion connects our desire to offer material support and our neighbors' need for neighbors.
Jack Forstman
Jack is scheduled for heart valve replacement surgery on March 17. We all wish he didn't have to wait that long. Thank you for remembering him and Shirley and their family in your prayers.
New Zealand earthquake
The news is still coming in about the earthquake that struck the city of Christchurch. We know that there was serious damage to buildings, including the cathedral. We know that many people were injured, and some have died. We are grateful that the buildings were mostly built well. Our friends, Lyndsay and Lorraine, and Phillippa are well. Phillippa's home was badly damaged, and there are no utility services, but she and her partner are fine. Please continue to hold the people of Christchurch in your prayers.
