Jean Crowe
Jean is a good friend of Larry Adams's, and an attorney known in the community for her work on domestic violence issues. She has an inoperable brain tumor, and Larry asks that we keep her and her husband in our prayers.
Trayvon Martin
We ask for prayers for the parents of Trayvon Martin, for young African-American men who grow up with the weight of suspicion on their shoulders, for their parents, and for all of us. Fear and violence reside so close to each other in our hearts. Let us pray that we may learn to see each other's faces, and not merely projections of our own fear.
Tuesday update
Evelyn Goen, the mother of Larry Adams's friend, David, is not doing well. Evelyn lives in Kentucky and is a member of the First Christian Church in Frankfort.
Helen and Malinda's friend, Juanita, will have additional surgery this week to amputate a toe. She continues to struggle with circulation problems in her feet and hands.
Five of our children are preparing for their baptism on Easter: Boyd Berhow, Emily Berhow, Miller Freeman, Sarah Matthews, and Molly Lyons.

Tommy Cook, a member of the TNT Club, is hospitalized with kidney problems.
Jill Baker, a friend of Hope Hodnett, died on Saturday night after a ferocious battle with cancer. Jill was 44 years old and the mother of 4 children. We ask for prayers for the Baker family and friends.
Ted Parks
Ted and a group of Lipscomb faculty and administrators are traveling to Santiago de Chile this Sunday afternoon for a week, hoping to lay the groundwork for a university program there in spring 2013. We hope and pray they have a safe and successful trip.
Bob Binkley
Bob is in serious condition and continues to receive chemo therapy. He is not up to having visitors, but your prayers for him, Phoebe, and Carolyn are appreciated.
Joe Keith
Joe Keith fell and broke his knee cap on Wednesday last week. He is scheduled for surgery on Thursday. Thank you for keeping him and his family in your prayers.
Amanda de Lange
Amanda is receiving treatment at the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center. She is director of an orphanage for abandoned babies in Xi'an, China, and a good friend of Martha Bishop's sister-in-law.
Dorothy Roach
Dorothy died Monday night, and all who love her are relieved that her suffering is over. Her funeral will be on Thursday, March 8, at 2pm at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens (9090 Hwy 100). Please keep her family, especially daughters Mary Lou and Kay in your prayers. obituary

Janis's mother, Monica Moulton is hospitalized and will soon be moved to hospice care at St. Thomas.

Rick Helms, pastor of Bellevue Christian Church, will have eye surgery this week.
Gary Holloway's mother will have surgery on Wednesday to remove a tumor from her brain.
Our Congolese friends ask for prayers for a member of Nouvelle Alliance, who is mourning the death of several family members; they were among the victims during a recent violent attack in the Eastern parts of the Democratic Republic of Congo. We ask for your prayers for peace for the people of the Congo who have lived with violence and political instability for decades.
Georgiana T. McConnell
Georgiana died the night of Saturday, March 3, at age 86. She was the sister of the late Eva Lassie Russell and Betty Pilkinton. Gia Maisie Dixon
Gia Maisie Dixon was born today, March 1, 2012 at 12:09pm at Baptist Hospital. 7 pounds 5.5 ounces. Daughter of Matt and Cory Dixon. Little sister of Roman Dixon. Niece of Caitlin Dixon, Gabe and Amanda Dixon. Cousin of Liam Dixon. Granddaughter of Bryce and Rachel Dixon, Don and Stacy Schlitz. Great granddaughter of Bob and Joyce Register. Second cousin of Lexie and Imre Soloman.
She comes from a long line of Vine Street love. She is sweet and healthy and with appetite. Cory is doing well.
Alexandria Perkins
Russell and Renita Perkins celebrate the birth of Alexandria Benay Perkins, their third grand daughter. She was born in the early morning hours of February 28; Christina and Rusty Perkins are the happy parents. Russell is the pastor of the Bread of Heaven church.
Gary Holloway
Gary's father, Mr. Raleigh Nelson “Bud” Holloway of Griffin, Georgia died Saturday, February 25, 2012. A memorial service will be held Monday. Gary's mother will have brain surgery for a benign tumor March 7.
Trooper Janes
Trooper is the child of Adam Janes, Pastor of First Christian Church, Dover TN, and he is most appropriately named. He suffers from neurofibromatosis, and he had a 5-hour surgery today at Vanderbilt to insert a rod in his leg to straighten the bones that are twisted due to this condition. Trooper's parents are staying with Charlie and Camille Biter unti the family can return home to Dover. Charlie and Camille attend First Christian Church when they spend the weekend there. Thank you for your prayers for Trooper and his family.
Rob McRight's dad
Rob's dad, Jim has lung cancer and he now has tumors in both lungs. Thank you for remembering him in your prayers. Rob continues to serve with the Navy JAG in Jacksonville; he was recently promoted to Lieutenant.

Ellison Forbes Plunkett, the daughter of Brandon and Cheryl Plunkett and granddaughter of Dee and Brenda was born this afternoon ... mom and baby are both healthy!
