Joe Keith

We're happy to share news that Joe Keith is doing well. Originally scheduled for Tuesday, his knee-replacement surgery actually happened on Monday. Yesterday, he was up twice--and thrilled that it felt good to do so. Rehab is set for later this week. He and Julia continue to be grateful for our prayers.

Tuesday update

We connected recently with Shelton and Betty Pilkinton, who send greetings and ask for our continuing prayers.

Mary Ann Schellhardt sends her greetings to the Vine Street community, too, along with appreciation for our prayers.

And we pray for Joe Keith. He will have knee replacement surgery next week.

Doris Snow

Micah Snow asks that we keep his grandmother, Doris Snow, in our prayers. She has been in the hospital the past few days. Fluid has been collecting around her lungs and doctors are working to discover why. She's been recovering recently from cancer treatment, too. Micah says though her body is weak, her spirit remains strong.

James Foley

“The brutality of this act is itself evidence of an unspeakable evil that is rampant and inhuman. To the prayers that have been offered since his captivity almost two years ago, we now add our prayers for James’s eternal rest and, in Christ Jesus Our Lord, James’s future resurrection to eternal life. Our prayers also must accompany a sorrowful mother, a grieving father, a deeply pained family and countless friends who have kept vigil all this time. May we also pray for those who have embraced the way of darkness and death, that they may turn away from this terrible evil now and forever.”

–Most Reverend Peter A. Libasci, Bishop of Manchester

Bob Register

Lt. Colonel Robert Franklin Register, Sr. died on Saturday. We ask for prayers for his family, especially his wife, Joyce Register, his children Rachel Eva Dixon, Robert Register, Jr., Roger Register, Ray Register, Regan Soloman, his grandchildren Gabriel, Matthew and Caitlin Dixon, and Lexie and Imre Soloman, and his great-grandchildren Roman, Gia, and Liam Dixon. A memorial service is being planned for later this year.

Paul Johnson

Paul Johnson will have surgery on Tuesday, Aug. 19 to remove his gall bladder and repair an incisional hernia. The family is especially concerned about the possibility of the anesthesia making his memory loss permanently worse. "Please hold us close to your hearts in your prayers. Love, Mary Ann"
