Children's EDUCATION

We provide Christian education in a positive environment at every service. In addition to Sunday School classes at 9 a.m. each Sunday, our children enjoy Bible stories, music, fellowship and fun as part of the 10 a.m. worship service. Please ask a greeter if you have any questions.

ADULT CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

Growing in faith by engaging the heart and mind, the adult Christian education program at Vine Street Christian Church is open to all post-high school-aged persons. Guided by church leaders and featuring occasional guest speakers from the Nashville community, adult Christian education meets most Sundays at 9 a.m. in Fellowship Hall.

WHAT TO WEAR

You’ll find all styles of dress—from shorts and flip flops to coat and tie. Wear whatever is comfortable for you.

WORSHIP Services

Our mostly-traditional worship service begins at 10 a.m. in the Sanctuary. Prayers, readings and music (including our Chancel Choir, on most Sundays) guide us alongside a relevant sermon and the celebration of communion weekly.

Children are invited to worship with their parents or to participate in a separate children's worship, geared especially with them in mind. 

JOINING VINE STREET CHRISTIAN CHURCH

If you feel led to join our community of faith, there are several ways to do so! Each Spring and Fall, we hold a two-week "New Member Class." These classes go over the history of our denomination and church, what we believe, and how we show up in the world. We try to plan them so they end with us affirming you as a new member on a special Sunday, such as Easter or Kick-Off Sunday. 

There is nothing to memorize, simply an opportunity to learn more and fully understand who we are and how you could be a part of it! We also hold a Baptism Class for anyone who would like to be baptized, often in conjunction with the New Member Class. Our next New Member Class will likely be in August 2026. However, you don't have to wait for those classes to join or be baptized. We welcome new members and baptisms year-round!

GETTING HERE

We're conveniently located in West Nashville at 4101 Harding Pike, Nashville, TN 37205. Click here for bus routes from Nashville to Vine Street.

PARKING

Handicap spaces with access to the Sanctuary at located along Harding Pike, in front of the columned entry way. A handicap-accessible ramp is located there, too. The main parking area is located off Harding Pike and Montgomery Bell Avenue.
