Prayer concerns

Joyce Stewart asks for prayers for her friend, Taja, age 39 who has had a stroke. She lives in Jackson, TN and is presently in Vanderbilt; the only family she has to care for her are two older siblings who live in west Tennessee.

Nina Reed asks that we keep Mikey's family as well as his friends at Kindergarten and their teacher, Molly in our prayers. Mikey died yesterday. See previous post

The violent death of U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other American personnel in Libya is a painful loss to their families and friends, and to this nation. Many Libyans may never know that they also lost one of the best friends of their people. We pray for the families and for all who serve in the foreign service in dangerous places. We continue to pray for peace, and that mutual respect will define the relationships between followers of different religions.

And the best news of the day: Jim Foglesong completed radiation therapy, and now he can say, "I had cancer." We share the weight of each other's sorrows and concerns, but what happiness to share each other's joys and celebrations!
