The Vine Weekly: Oct. 8, 2017

Leaves are falling, and activities around Vine Street are picking up! It's good to be together!

TNT CLUB Halloween Party Around the Corner

We’re going to have a “boo”tiful time at the TNT Club Halloween party Sunday, Oct. 22 from 2-3:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall! That's when we will welcome ghosts, goblins, princesses, frogs, fairies and all kinds of nice folk to our annual party.

This year, the party will knock your socks off! There will be a make-it and take-it craft station, a costume contest and trick-or-treating to lots of doors throughout   our building. To make this special event happen, we need lots of volunteers. Can you help with any of these tasks?

• assist at a craft table

• serve refreshments

• be a non-judgmental judge of the costume contest

• greet and offer hospitality

• provide 30 treats for our trick-or-treaters

• answer a church door when our TNT trick-or-treaters knock

• clean-up and pack-up from 3:30-4 p.m.

TNT is an all-ages ministry event for adults with developmental disabilities and the Vine Street community. Contact Hope by Oct. 16 to help (hope@vinestreet.org).

We will need four-six Vine Street folks to greet guests and help them navigate our building. If you can help, please contact Katie McLaughlin (katie@vinestreet.org).

UNITED IN MINISTRY

Disciples across Tennessee are participating in town hall meetings, and our opportunity to join the conversation is Oct. 12 at 6 p.m. at Alameda Christian Church (4006 Ashland City Highway). That’s when Regional Minister and President Dr. Christal Williams, of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Tennessee, will share insights to the Region’s ministry. “Come hear about the vision, direction and partnerships of your Regional church! Get an update on Bethany Hills and more,” she says. For planning purposes, please register your attendance athttp://tndisciples.org/eventregistration/ or call Kaye in the church office at 615/269-5614.
